Season of Creation
The Season of Creation is a global, ecumenical season in September and October in which Christians set aside time to celebrate God’s good creation and to reflect on our calling to care for the earth and its creatures. Both services at Wesley will attend to these themes through the season, with a particular focus in the evening services on Christian faith and climate change. The morning service will include a celebration of Hildegard of Bingen on 17 September with special music, special morning tea and guest preacher Prof. Katharine Massam. Season of Creation begins with Feast this Sunday evening, with Prof Peter Rayner speaking on Sustainability in Christianity.
