Visit us during the week during the below hours. All are welcome in the church for prayer and quiet reflection. Our lovely volunteers are always on hand to answer questions about the history of Wesley Church. On Tuesdays, our Director of Music provides a free organ recital.
Tuesdays: 10:30am – 1:30pm, Free Organ Recital at 1pm
Thursdays: 11am – 1pm
Monthly FEAST
Join us on the first Sunday of each month for FEAST, our informal and interactive worship service. There is a mix of contemporary music and the odd hymn classic with a twist. Snacks provided after worship.
FEAST September
Join Rev Assoc. Prof Robyn Whitaker and Rev Rachel Kronberger as they discuss the first chapter of Genesis and God’s good creation. Part of our Season of Creation series. Followed by a light supper.
Season of Creation: “Listen to the voice of Creation.”
From the beginning of September through to early October, the Wesley evening services will be joining with our ecumenical siblings around the world in focusing on a “Season of Creation”.
Here at Wesley, we will be unpacking several texts in Genesis, putting them in conversation with other biblical texts as we listen for God’s wisdom and the voice of creation itself.
All are welcome to join us at 6pm on Sunday nights as we reflect deeply on our biblical traditions to help us engage contemporary issues to do with climate change and the environment.
4th Sept – Genesis 1 – Creation, Goodness, Rest (Rachel Kronberger and Robyn Whitaker)
11th Sept – Genesis 2, Job 38 – Humans centered and decentered
18th Sept – Genesis 3, Rev 21 – Separation, redemption, recreation
25th Sept – Genesis 9, Luke 13 – Flood, disaster, and sin
2nd Oct – A special FEAST service with Peter Rayner speaking about climate change.
Note – a light meal of vegetarian soup and bread is served following the first service of the month.
